It’s that time of year again! My best buddy BA and I went to the Cowboys vs. New York Giants game this weekend, and boy, it was awesome! And in case you missed it, SPOILER, we won!
The game was so good that I failed to reach for my phone to take pictures until the 4th quarter. That was when word floated down that Jay Novacek was in the suite. If you don’t know anything else about football, just know that Jay Novacek is one of the best tight-ends that ever played and is a wonderful human being!
And even though BA told me to leave him be, guess who got a picture with him, too?
Haha looks like a freaking fantastic day. Love Mr T’s response! Lol
Thanks! It was a really fun day! 🙂
Awh looks like a great evening. well spent with your buddy !!Such a sweet day Kate. Don’t know much about this football but if you say ‘Jay Novacek’ is great, I’ll believe you a 100%, He is great ! 😀
🙂 I wish everyone else in my life had your attitude and believed everything I said! LMBO! But, thank you, it really was a wonderful day!
Lol Well I don’t know much about football so I’m happy to take your words for it ! 😛
Okay, I’m totally sports impaired.
But I will say this – sometimes, it takes a good elbow to the ribs to get someone to set their face straight. Well done!
LOL! Too true! There are several more I think could benefit from an elbow to the ribs!
Ah! Football adventures! How I envy thee. Perhaps one of these decades I might even understand the game.
LOL! I always think I have a good understanding of the game (and I do) until I’m sitting in the suite surrounded by all those men! They know more of the nuances than I ever could!
Looks like you had an awesome time 🙂
It was the type of day that about hits “perfect” 🙂
I am just a teeny bit jealous that you are able to see pro football games! I have never been to one and would love to go. Just once! And…how awesome to meet a big star! I was lucky once (didn’t get a picture though). I was volunteering for the US Open (golf) at Torrey Pines in 2008. All the big superstar golfers were there. We were checking people into one of the ritzy guest tents and who should walk up? Lynn Swann. I shook his hand, checked his ID and welcomed him in. Talk about just a little star struck! I wish I’d gotten a photo. Too bad, though, that would have been a “no-no” for me being on volunteer time.
I’m telling you, the camera phone was probably the best and worst invention of all times! LOL.
And I am very fortunate to be able to attend, it was a fluke lunch meeting that set the events into motion, and I’ve really enjoyed it. I remember the first year I was just excited to have a bathroom so close!!
I’m just a wee bit jealous. Man, some days are better than others I guess. And this was one of them. Nice!
Thanks! I’m telling you, it was one of those perfect days!
I can only see it on my iPhone reader.. Weird
My oldest son is a Dallas Cowboy fan. I still love him…. Go Niners:)
LOL, when I lived in Reno we added the Niners to the teams we’d root for! 🙂 I still watch them and I’ve been back in Texas for quite a while now!
They are 4-4 or 4-3 right now, right? It’s the middle of the week so the stats are slowly leaking out of my head!
If i hear about The Cowboys are America’s Team I’ll scream! My son reminds me of our last playoff game and i remind him of The Catch..
LOL!!
Looks like you had a great time!
It was pretty amazing. The person who shared the tickets with me and I were emailing back and forth on Monday, proclaiming our love for each other (he’s older and happily married) because we both had such a wonderful time!
Glad you had such a great time!
Thanks, it was so cool to be able to fangirl for a bit!
I am such a Cowboys fan (always have been) …I can’t believe you were there at the stadium!
I’m very blessed that I’ve been able to attend once a year. I have a work colleague that has a suite and is generous enough to give me and BA a ticket each year and we have the best time! 🙂
The Cowboys are off to a great start. I did not expect it. Btw, when I think of the Cowboys, I think of you and this other person who I know who is a Cowboys fan. If you recall, the first post I responded to of yours was about the Cowboys. Anyway, I’m glad you enjoyed the game but I was rooting for the Giants. It would have been better for the Eagles. We are going to have to talk before the Thanksgiving game.
We have the best record in the entire NFL right now, but #2 in power rankings… Not sure how that happens! I’m not surprised that you were rooting for the Giants! But the Eagles are at 5-1 and that’s nothing to sneeze at… and yes, we will have to talk before the Thanksgiving game!
Definitely nothing to sneeze at. However, the Cowboys are the competition so I want them go to do down.
I am glad you had a wonderful time – great images!
Thank you! I like to think that the fun and emotion in the pictures makes up for the fact that it’s my iPhone and I’m usually bouncing around too much to take a shot that isn’t blurry! 🙂
Yes Kate – You are ring – You always have fun blogs – Makes me smile!

I’m glad you had an awesome time!
Thank you! It was such a wonderful day!
Oh, I don’t know what to say that would not disappoint all the football fans in my life. I’ve been told that I’m to hate Texas, in all things sports. Given that I know nothing sports, I don’t really understand, so I’m going to go with this. Ready?
“Grrrrrr… I’m so mad at Texas sporting events. They all suck.”
Was that good?
wait– you have to imagine me waving my fist in the air, too. That’s how mad I am at Texas.
Ok, that was a great way to express yourself, you have honored your family very well! LOL!
And, I’m totally okay with it since right now, my Cowboys, the best Texas team, is sitting at 6-1… which is the best in the NFL right now. 🙂
I’m going to pretend to get it, and raise a beer in their honor.
Wait, I’m not supposed to do that, I don’t think…
I think any reason is a good one to have a beer 🙂 And I promise not to tell that it’s in honor of Texas Sports.
Glad you enjoyed the game . . . and your Tight End!!! Keep up with the crunches! 😛
🙂 Thanks Nancy!
awesome. I’m a big Cowboy’s fan also. And I really liked watching Novacek play.
He was an amazing player, and he and his wife still do so much for the community.
Love this post, Kate!
Thanks! 🙂 It was such a great day!
How great that you got to meet him! Fantastic.
The highlight of my trip to Buffalo for the Bills game was the family of four that sat next to us. Mom, Dad, little girl ~3 years old and …A 6 WEEK OLD BABY. What in the actual f*&k??? Who does that? I literally had to bite my tongue for 3 hours because everything inside of me wanted to rip into them for bringing a newborn into that environment (COLD, LOUD). Then, when a fight broke out a few rows above us and security, EMS, etc. came storming down our row – I nearly lost my mind. That baby could have been crushed! Ugh, I’m getting all tense just thinking about it.
OMG! The insanity!!! People are getting more STOOPIDER every day.
The STOOOOOPID was beyond BEYOND!
That totally freaked me out when I saw that picture! Who does that?!? I’m with you – it would have been all I could do to keep my mouth shut, too!!!
Hubby was jabbing me with his elbow every time i stared or scowled.
