25 Songs in 25 Days – Day 7

25 Songs in 25 Days – Day 7 – A Song That Reminds You of the Past Summer

My past summer was rough.  Beyond rough.  Blessings by Laura Story was one of the songs that we played at Lee’s funeral, and while it is a beautiful song, unlike almost all of the other songs I’ve picked, I couldn’t listen all the way through!

To those that were with me last summer, thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for all of the support and love you showed.

For those who weren’t with me, here is a link to my favorite post, and a good summation of my life last year.

25 Songs in 25 Days – Day 6

25 Songs in 25 Days – Day 6 – A song that reminds you of a best friend.

I can’t believe it took me to day 6 before Meatloaf showed up!  This song has always reminded me of BA, but even more so since we went to see him together!

This close! I was this close!!!

25 Songs in 25 Days – Day 5

25 Songs in 25 Days – Day 5 – A song that is often stuck in your head.

This is stuck in my head most days for several reasons.  First off, Kansas.  ‘Nuff said.

Secondly, almost every day I watch Supernatural.  I think I might have mentioned a slight addiction I have to this show.  Because I love this show, I have it as the ringtone for one of my friends, the one that is guaranteed to call me once a day, that way I can hear it!

My new New Year’s resolution

This subject has been coming up a lot lately in my life, and I went back to read the post I wrote and figured it would do me well to re-post it! Help keep me accountable and my goals fresh in my mind!
Enjoy! And Happy Friday!

Did That Just Happen Blog

So, now you know all about me being a Yes Man.  And how it’s about become second nature to me.  So, that means it’s time to work on more self-improvement.  Ugh.

I’m technically going to make it my New Year’s Resolution, even though I’m not waiting until the New Year, cause hey – we all get asked that question – “did you make any resolutions?”  Why yes I did, I just implemented them months before you thought to ask me about personal growth!

I have to stop comparing myself to other parents, other women, other people in general.  I read somewhere that the fastest way to pop your own bubble of joy is to compare yourself to others (I’m paraphrasing, of course!).  It’s human nature to look around and compare yourself.  She is thinner than I am, He is funnier than I am.  I’m a way better singer than…

25 Songs in 25 Days – Day 4 – A Song That Calms You Down

How can you not stop and just close your eyes and listen to Christian Kane?  I know he’s just waiting to meet me and then we’d both live happily ever after! Of course, then my name would be Kate Kane.

I could live with that.

25 Songs in 25 Days – Day 3 – A song that reminds you of one/both of your parents.

Growing up we would joke that this was my mom’s theme song.

It pretty much still is today! 🙂

25 Songs in 25 Days – Day 2 – A song that reminds you of your most recent ex-boyfriend.

Now, the funny thing is, my last boyfriend and I joked that we saw each other about as often as Halley’s comet came through, so while it is only a brief mention in this song, it was still “Our Song”.
